Humphries initially built this Tier 3 data center in the SunTrust Gardens building for a website provider who downsized drastically before project completion. Humphries modified the space to meet SunTrust’s needs, including completion of the revised glycol piping systems and computer room units, a double walled fuel oil system for new generators, the ventilation system for the battery room, and HVAC and plumbing up fit for the office areas including 24-hour supplemental systems for several critical areas. Equipment installed consisted of thirty-three Liebert Deluxe System 3 units at 30 tons each, eight Liebert ceiling hung units, and all electrical requirements for the units. Six Liebert Dry coolers at 200 tons each were installed on the rooftop. Humphries integrated the space with a double interlock pre-action system and an FM-200 system. Electrical work included two 2,000KW Gensets, four 750KVA UPS, dist. equipment, etc. The total raised floor size was 60,000 square feet. Multiple data center upgrades have occurred since the original build out, including structural enhancements, UPS expansion, and the bus duct replacement.
