Skyline Park at Ponce City Market

Skyline Park included the build-out of a “roof amenity” package for Ponce City Market, the historic Sears, Roebuck and Co. building originally built in 1926. The scope of work included a bar area, restrooms, white box space for future restaurant tenants, gaming areas, ride attractions (including Heege & Stainless Steel slide), putt-putt golf course, canopy covered seating areas, and wood roof decking. Wood roof decking included 30,000 SF of space using IPE wood, fire treated wood support framing, ramp and steps, steel viewing platforms, stainless steel handrails, galvanized guard rails, and steel planters. Project also included completing a “shell” of a building on top of the roof for a future restaurant tenant. This scope included MEP infrastructure, fire protection, structural steel, concrete, roofing, masonry, aluminum storefront, carpentry, doors, frames and hardware, and drywall. All work completed on the roof was without the use of a freight elevator, thus 17 crane lifts were required during the one year and nine-month project.
